Tums Fast Relief 500
Once again, problems with the car kept Dale Jr from a great finish at Martinsville. Dale was in the top 10 until a blown tire due to the beading on his tire melting from the brake heat. He was able to keep the car off the wall and limped back to pit road to get the car fixed Things only got worse from there as Dale had another blown tire, the second time hitting the side of the car against the wall. Dale was still able to run, only down two laps and finishing in 29th after starting 12th.
