Dale Jr started 34th and quickly made his way to the top 20, only going down one lap one time and getting the free pass about a lap or two after he was put down a lap. He flirted with going down a lap again for the rest of the race, but luckily was able to stay ahead of Kyle Busch for the rest of the race. Junior finished 14th and has moved to 19th in points.
