Pepsi 500

Dale's car wasn't working with him during qualifying and he qualified in 37th. Dale's car ran very well all day, until a multi-car crash and a red flag put him back 2 laps. The crew could not work on his car during the red flag (per NASCAR rule), so that is what put him down the two laps. I was very impressed to see that the garage crew from teammate Mark Martin's car was there to help the 88 team get the car repaired faster. It just seems like Dale cannot catch a break, no matter what he does. I am really hoping that Rick decides to keep Lance on as Dale's crew chief. It seems that those two have really worked well together during the race, no matter what the critics may say. Next weekend, the boys get to be home in Charlotte and I know that Dale really likes getting to stay at his home in Mooresville.
